I may get kicked off the forum for the blasphemy that I am going to admit out loud here, but I need to get it off my chest because I cant live with this lie any longer.
I have owned a couple chevys, and I liked em. They were cars, not trucks. My racism is only in the truck category, I guess that makes me weak. Had a 62 Nova SS and a 69 Nova, a couple Astros. I had an 80s dodge truck for a bit....
If it makes any concilation, I would wear a cilice and cinch it up real good while I was driving any nonFord.
I'm not a chevy or any other types hater, I have owned four through out the yrs from a 51 to a 63 vett, then a 70 el~camino to my last chevy was 87ss Camaro they were all good vehicle's with out any troubles. Lost the pix of the 51tho!!

Anyone using flexible transmission lines? Any reason that it isnt a good idea? I pulled the engine yesterday and can see that they will be in the way when removing/installing the starter. If I had flexible I could route them easier to be out of the way.
Most tranny hard lines are cut when adding a aftermarket cooler adapted with rubber lines. Just use some good hyd. high pressure lines to rout the way you want them. By using high psi rubber steel braid lined you should not have to ever worry about the need to replace the 30-40+ yrs.
I've been using some 1/4" hyd. high pressure line of 18,000 psi for the last 40 yrs an my oil 60-80psi is sure not going to burst the line ever while, I'm alive.
This little filter is good for like 25k until needing to be changed out. This came with the 3/8"barred brass adaptor fittings to cut an splice into the hard tranny line return line.
I don't know for sure what the line pressure is but these kits come with about an 8" rubber flex line to be used..
I don't know what these go for any more but,I paid $25 with shipping some time ago but end up not using..
So the psi can't be all that high to use rubber inline.

A couple of weeks ago I spoke to Jason Newsted, formerly of Metallica (and Flotsam & Jetsam). He asked what the regs were on public performances. Cool dude.... it was really ironic because I was listening to No Place For Disgrace when he called.
.
A guy off craigslist is wanting to buy my '72 grill shell for $50. My schedule of when I get home is not predictable, and weekends are no bueno for him. He lives in San Diego, me in Pasadena, so the one way trip could easily be 2 hours.
So, I offered to put the grill in my bed, and he can pick it up whenever he wants, leaving the $50 in the cab. He thought that was great, and will be getting it today.
It's a gamble , If he's honest you will have $50. waiting for you .
If he is not he might help himself to other parts , since he knows you are not there .
With my experience with Craigslist people there's a 90% chance of the 2nd option .
I wish you luck

How do you think this will turn out?
If him stealing it is a big deal, have a neighbor keep an eye out. I'm lucky in my town I can forget my window down and keys in ignition at a store for an hour and it's still there laterb a town of 50k has its perks
Now I am a bit concerned. It never even crossed my mind that he could part my truck out, lol. My front grill is only being held on by 2 finger tight bolts.
I hope the guy is from Bismarck ND, I like that way of thinking
