Ball Mount Drop??

I finally got a new truck.

2016 F250 FX4 Crew Cab Short Bed 6.7 PS. This truck, stock sits higher than my last 2. I pull several different types of trailers, so I am looking at getting an ajustble ball mount. I am looking at options: Up to 5" drop, 7" drop, 9" drop (in 1" increments). I am thinking about a lift some time in the future.

What are you guys using for drops on your ball mounts?

Thanks,
Shep

Too much drop and you'll drag the ball mount in uneven terrain. I got a great deal on a 12K billet ball mount that is adjustable and has a 9" drop. That's a good 2" too much drop as it hits when I go offroad.

It'll set you back $180 but this should be the last ball mount you ever have to buy:
Tow & Stow? - Receiver Hitch | Tow & Stow Adjustable Ball Mounts | THE B&W ADVANTAGE

Models from 3" drop/rise to 9" drop/rise, and offers three way 1 7/8, 2 and 2 5/16" ***** or a two-way 2 and 2 5/16" *****.

Thanks for the info. I think you're right about this hitch. I found it a couple weeks ago and finally ordered last week. It arrived at home Friday or Saturday while I was away and was waiting on the front porch when I got home.

I ordered the TS10049B Model for a 7" drop with the tri-ball. BUT, I'm not sure this is going to work. The model for 7" drop is actually the Model 10 (10" Magnum Hitch). I don't have any lift on my truck, yet. I haven't put it on the truck yet, but it looks like it might be too low...

I'll let you know. I paid $239 for the 10,000 lb, 2" version. The 14,500 lb, 2-1/2" version was almost $300. This is the 1st truck I've had with a 2-1/2" hitch and I've pulled A LOT of stuff with 2", so I'm not worried about needing the bigger ball mount.

I have had this hitch for over 10 years. Highly recommend it.

I saw that hitch Toyman, but I liked the Stow away part of the B&W.

I used the hitch yesterday and love it.

Unfortunately your tongue weight is limited to 500 lbs when you use the adapter sleeve. Also you will bend the shank pin if you tow heavy using the adapter.

I have multiple 2.5 hitches as I don't like the sloppy fit that the one size fits all types have. I also got tired of driving out bent pins.
