I am tired of having a collection of ball mounts that I seem to always be swapping out for the trailers I have.
Looking at the Curt 6” adjustable class V and the Bulletproof 6” adjustable class V. Curt is ~$220 (etrailer) and the Bulletproof ~$299 (Direct). Minor differences like the 2” ball on the Curt is only rated for 10k as the Bulletproof is rated at 12k. The 2 5/16 Bulletproof ball is rated a bit more than the Curt too. Other than that they are very similar.
Does anyone know of a coupon code for the Bulletproof mount to save a couple of $s or is it that much nicer/better than the Curt?
I bought and like the GEN Y Hitch. It doubles as a pintle, and the adjustment slots can accommodate a standard ball mount you already have. If for example you want the trailer back a few inches so the tail gate clears the jack handle you could use your stand drop mount in any slot. They are rated for 21K or 32K with the 2 1/2" or 3" version. The adjustment slots are the same size as the part that goes in the truck receiver.

I forgot about the GEN Y. I will check them out. But what I remember they are big $s.
I have the bulletproof hitch. I love it. Bulletproof actually makes a 6" drop that tows up to 30k. I believe all their hitches are 22k and up. Easy to use, super heavy duty, looks great. I'd buy again without hesitation. Yeah its expensive but so was your truck.
