Code p1316 injector driver module thrown when engine is cold?
Hey guys, I keep getting my SES light coming on in the morning when my engine is cold. I'm getting code p0603 and p1316. I was told the first one is just from using my tuner. The second code is the injector driver module, just trying to figure out what is causing it to throw the SES light only when cold. Any help would be greatly appreciated , thanks
A P1316 means the IDM has codes stored. Run a KOEO or injector buzz test to see what codes the IDM has stored.
I am now getting a p0605 code, after looking it up there is alot that can cause this code. I guess the pcm isnt operating properly. One of the symptoms of this code is poor fuel economy, which i have. After researching the other code i had, all signs were pointing to the UVC Harness. I took a temp gun and shot my exhaust manifolds, and sure enough there was a significant difference. Driver side was around 190 and passenger side was around 130. So would this suggest doing the quarter trick to the passenger side? Also if it is the UVC Harness , would this throw the p0605 PCM code? Pretty sure i read that one of the causes of this code is faulty wiring. The engine runs a little rough and sounds different on cold starts in the morning, but after about 10 minutes ses light goes out and it runs fine the rest of the day. Please tell me this will fix my fuel economy issue, ive tried everything. Thanks for any advice
Also wanted to add that i did an injector buzz test and couldnt really tell if one sounded muffled more than others so i decided to shoot the exhaust manifolds with temp gun
