SCT x4 vs. edge evolution
#16
I did actually use the software both to update and to download one custom tune, and it's really fairly self explanatory when you open it up and start playing with it. As for egts, I towed a 32' camper up an 11% grade about a mile long 4 times and tractors the same hills and I never saw them get over 1100 even when I was juicing it a little. I'm running a 4" turbo-back with no muffler and a 6637 intake on my truck though, not sure what you're equipment is. I actually did something I'll probably get knocked for on here, I just sold my X4 because I got the opportunity to buy a new Bully Dog GT Platinum super cheap at a local A&A auto parts that was having a moving sale. I wanted to go to all custom tuning but stick with the flash programmer and I just like the platform of the Bully Dog better as far as windshield mount, gauge display, that simple stuff. SCT's factory tunes are second to none over the BD and I had nothing but good things to say about them. I know you'll be happy with it. But I'm now running all custom tuning from Innovative Diesel Performance since the BD has the same email tune capabilities as the SCT. It was kinda a last minute experiment. Like I said the BD factory tunes suck in my truck compared to the SCT, I just wanted it for the display and unit basically, to put the custom tunes on.
