I have traded my 2000 for a 2001 7.3, will I need the 6 pos. TS chip to be reprogrammed? What if I add a 100gph Air Dog? Any advice would be appreciated.
As far as compatibility is concerned, it all depends on the PCM Hardware. Do you know your old and new PCM codes? As far as the airdog is concerned, it's a waste of time and money but will not have any effect on the tuning.
Air dog was an expensive stab at solving a design problem in our fuel tank - but it just introduced a lot of complication and more components that can fail. The Hutch mod simplifies the fuel delivery system by reducing the number of failure points - and by putting the pre-pump screening outside the tank.
The TS chip will very likely need to be reburned, depending on the PCM code. You might want to opt for Hydra, which already has a library of tunes for many of the PCMs out there - and you can have your favorite tune provider email tunes to you to download into your chip. No need to yank the chip to ship.
Very good! that is what I replaced my original TS chip with a hydra from Swamps after they rebuilt my PCM and found that my original TS-6 had a burnt chip in it. Once I get this running right I am sure this TS will be what I wanted all along.

Thanks for the info, I will check the pcm info. Seems like a lot of people don't really suggest the FASS or Air Dogs, so that may save a bunch of money.
