That is the "brain" the engine runs off of. It's possible the codes were caused by someone unplugging that particular sensor while the engine was running. Just keep an eye on it.

Where is the sensor that could of been unplugged? Maybe it's connected to the mystery red button...

It's plugged in now otherwise you'd have a MIL on. The speed sensor is at the back of the trans, at the top. Hard to say which code(s) turned on the MIL, some of the codes may have been present from before you bought the truck, that's all I'm saying.
No one unplugged while running. Came on while I was driving it and we haven't messed under the hood at all except for battery a while back. Oh yeah and adding a quart of oil. Maybe it got bumped or something?
Dealer called. As of right now they are replacing a solenoid related to the 4x4 whatever that is. I recognize as it was one of codes.
Well you do have evidence that you brought it in for a concern prior to the warranty running out so if something similar shows itself shortly and the warranty expires you can at least make an argument.
When you replace the battery the codes usually get cleared. So the codes may or may not have been present when you purchased the truck. That should rule out someone unplugging a sensor if it hasn't been to a shop since changing the battery.
Also, I have p0500 code, it's related to the vss (vehicle speed sensor) circuit and a p1876 code. If I clear the computer it usually comes back within a month or two. I haven't noticed anything wrong with the 4x4 (shifts in and out of 4x4 and low range no problem) or anything else though. I'll have to track it down sometime. Might just be a loose connection.
All Done. Picked up Ex. They replaced some solenoid, battery cables, and did "the works." (Oil, fluids, rotate tires.) Cost $240 total. Never pinointed about speed sensor code. They thought it could be related possibly to solenoid? Fingers crossed all is well now.
