Service Engine Light?
I have a 2003 F150 4.2 liter with about 57,000 miles on it. The service engine soon light just came on.
Do I need to get this checked asap or can I drive it for a while until I get a day off from work? Thanks, Alan.

If the truck is running fine, no rush. But you should have it checked,drop on by the parts store, be it Auto Zone or Advance, they check it for free in hopes you buy a part.Write down the code, and do a search or inquirey on the site.

Do they still do that for free? I heard they charge now. Anyway I picked up a OBDII reader for under a Benjamin at Walmart after I got the check engine light on mine. Read the code, fixed the problem, and erased it. Think it was a good investment...
