Hey, can anyone take a look at these codes above for me? We are dropping Ex off at dealer's today.
Guy that scanned said one is a bad sensor and another one is the 4x4 motor. He tested 4x4 with some Upturn technique and said that it didn't disengage right away after switching back to 4x2.
Just want to know what to tell dealer to make sure they fix problems and not just clear codes.
I would expect OSS/VSS signal issues to manifest as transmission-related driveability concerns, ie, erratic or incorrect shifting or issues with the speedometer, for example.
The P1832 is related to a circuit fault between the GEM module and the PVH solenoid. I wouldn't expect it to set a check engine light if faulty.
My guess it is the MIL was turned on for one or both of the speed faults (output shaft and vehicle speed). That should get fixed under your remaining warranty. The transfer case codes won't set a MIL and are probably related to the solenoid that is on the pass fender, there is a series of steps you follow to determine which part(s) of the 4x4 system are at fault. The rear defog is minor, long term fuel trim has changed and bank to bank is different, could be just a lazy sensor or the dreaded exhaust manifold leak. Again, the warranty should cover this. The other items are minor too.
If the speed circuit completely fails, you won't have a speedometer, probably no ABS and it's possible the pcm will go full rich for catalyst protection, if so, that is though on the catalytic converters. I'd have them check it out asap. Not trying to scare you but just hoping to prevent more issues.
Thanks. Appreciate the responses even though I don't fully understand them, haha. What would you suggest I tell the dealer when dropping off? Do you tell a dealer that you ran codes yourself or do you keep that in back pocket? Do you make up a story of something malfunctioning so that they have to checkn it? My fear is they will just clear the codes without fixing anything since our warranty is about to expire.

Replacing battery cables which was on our list anyways. Ford said something with transfer case. DH didn't write it down.. Hellwig will find out more details today. Edit: Love how my auto correct changed "he will" to Hellwig.
Ford said they couldn't get light or codes to come up again. The speed sensor code, could this sensor be on it's way out? Should we push to have replaced even though they are not able to recreate it?

I had T/C codes when my 4x4 solenoid went bad. I did the physical system test and it pointed to that solenoid, changed it out, cleared codes and no issues.
Anything that turned the MIL should be stored, perhaps whomever checked them prior to the dealer visit cleared them? I wouldn't push them to change anything that you can't document/have evidence of an issue.

No, they were not cleared by friend that checked. Dealer cleared and tried to get them to happen again.
