Well I had the check engine light come on tonight running to the store. Scan gauge have me a P0300 code. Didn't have time to plug in my SCT to see if it would pull any other codes. What should I be looking for tomorrow?

 

Multiple misfires. I have read threads where it ended up being the tone ring on the crankshaft however it seems those cases the engine would either not run or run like crap and shut off.
How does it run?
Does it ever fall out of sync?
Double check cam and crank sensors are snug, maybe ohm them out, check for chaffing

 

Truck runs pretty well really. A tad ruff on cold start up.

 

5W40 synthetic and some Archoil stiction additive will likely help in the cold start department, unless you tried that already?

 

Yes, I've run the T6 syn for the past 45,000 and did a treatment of hot shot last winter, that really helped and I will get a bottle of that this morning.
