My 92 f150 with a 4.9 inline 6 has a hard time starting no mater if it warm or cold out but will start fine if the engine is warm?
Pulling the codes is always a good idea, but if the truck seems to run ok after it's started, the first thing I'd check is the cap and rotor. if the towers have corrosion or are worn and the rotor seems to have a rough edge on the tip, then I'd change them.
