At the shrader valve, I have read that 60-70psi is normal...

You should have around 60 lbs at the Schrader valve while engine is running.

not to disagree with Tom, but I think stock it will run just fine on 40-45 psi. preferred pressure is 55-60, but you may have to do the old BB mod to get that pressure out of the regulator

What about cranking pressure? Just for future knowledge.

I went checked mine to be able an answer this. With fuse 22 pulled(simulating a no start) I get 45psi

My '96 has always run at 50 psi. I've read this is normal for a nonCalifornia truck, but that trucks delivered in California run higher, maybe 60psi+, because of different injectors needed to satisfy the regulators there.
