I looked but haven't seen this issue yet, our 02 XLT always blows air thru the dash vents regardless of what the control is set at. Whatever the control is set at still blows though the ones its set for but also continually comes thru the dash vents. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Is the blower motor running all the time, or is the air flow based on how fast you're driving or how windy it is outside?

Its just when the blower is running. When put in the off position there is no air coming out the vents.

 

there are 3-4 dampers inside the duct that direct the air flow.. Possibly one damper is broken or the vacuum cylinder is stuck on that damper.. I will post a drawing to show the various dampers.. look for the "vent".
