He did fine. I'm really thinking 4.10 swap is in order. The tall tires and 3.55 suck for non interstate driving. The egts are in check so I have seen anyway. I did have a few 2500rpm pulls out of od and it only went like 1050 or so.

AHah! I found the tread! Good looking truck Aaron. You're a lucky man (and I might hate you just a little bit right now for getting it, but I'll remedy that directly).
Ahahahahahaha. 10 days. That's all it took for you to be struggling with yanking all those goodies off 'ol Cliff and slapping them on the new fat bottom girl. 10. Days. Lol.
Okay, I'm done ribbing you now.
Seriously though, that's a great looking truck. Let me know if you need odds and ends to get it together and running. I don't have a ton left over, but I have a yard close by that has a good selection of OBS trucks. I'd be glad to help you with anything I can to see that girl get on the road.
That really is a great looking truck. I'd leave it just as it is, tint the windows and polish up the rims. For the most part, I agree that the visors are sorta cheesy, but on a conversion dually I really kinda dig 'em. That's a classy looking conversion too, not like the ones with all the gaudy stick-on graphics and over the top chrome accessories screwed to every available square inch of bodywork. She's a 'beaut! Good for you, man. I'm happy for you (now that I got that all out of my system).
Bring that rig on over to OH some time for a visit and I'll give you a great spot to park it for a few days.
The fiberglass pieces have steps as well moulded in so that would be handy for getting stuff out of the bed.
No big turbos etc.
Just exh,intake,bellowed up pipes,deleted turbo parts,left over chip , maybe a dirt cheap efuel and DIY ic setup.
I'm not painting anything I don't have to. Only desperate repairs will get done.
The ol gal was a michigan truck originally. The cab underside and bed underside are good enough. Front fenders,core support,frame... All will need serious attention/replacement. I am very excited to get the ol guy operational again.

I got it off the trailer and cleaned up a bit. It sat at Jps for a few years so it needed a bath..bad
