60K with those options would probably be gas. Add another 8.5K for diesel.

The dealers can and will allow you to purchase items ala carte and have them dealer installed. The price is usually retail for the items which can be very pricey. The problem with headlights, tail lights and other electronics is the intricate system of diodes, interlocks and computers which, when an item is not what it is supposed to be, have a tendency to go off the grid so to speak. Just putting in a simple switch to shut off the cargo light when the interior light was used gave me a real headache. And if you read the commercial guide for aftermarket bodies changing from incandescent to LED turnsignals, for instance, the main computer has to be updated on a Ford computer to compensate for the changed impedance. It seems nothing is plug and play on vehicles today.

Yes very disappointing I won't be able to get LED's on my Lariat SuperCab, hopefully a retrofit will be possible.

After seeing the LEDs on a '15 F150, WOW what a difference they make! They light up the road in ways I've never seen before. The HIDs on our Flex don't even compare. The crappy lights on my '08 Super Duty look like old Edison bulbs in comparison.

Thanks fordman, now I can start to whine. And if the Flex is like our last Lincoln the HIDs are only on low beam. High is quartz.

Which Lincoln do you have? Our 2010 has bi-xenon HID lights, which I think are quite good. They turn in the corners, too.

I guess I can only hope the halogens are improved as well - they probably will be, since they are "quad beam" as well, right?

Yes, the Flex's are HID on low only. Actually, I think the HID portion is always on, just the high beams adds in another light maybe?

We had an '04 LS which was a great car but difficult to maintain. It was a multi-platform car which not only supported Lincoln but also Thunderbird and Jaguar. Many of the parts were produced in England. The aluminum suspension was accurate, the car was fast (285 hp v8), the car was a great size and very nimble. But the little things kept breaking not to count a transmission rebuild and then flat out replacement under the extended warranty. Current Lincoln is an MKC which we are enjoying, including the 6' long moon roof. We found the car used with less than 5K miles but it came out of Canada. After several sessions getting the speedometer to have the "big" ring show MPH the dealer finally got it right. But you CANNOT interchange dash modules because the computer does not recognize different components and many of the electronic controls shut down. Put the Canadian module back in and physically change the speedo ring from the US module and everything is fine, but we cannot read KPH even when changing the units in the control. Oh well, big discount on the vehicle because of being a used car and we got to keep the US module and display ring so we could sell it back in Canada if we ever wished. Dealer thinks it was for some Gov official since the original title was to the Ministry of Transportation in Quebec. Of course all voice commands must end with "eh!"

Advertising says 4 low beam and 4 high beam. Hope it is not trickery and only talking about the LED's.

Does anybody know if you can get Brunello interior with a Platinum in Magnectic color? When you're on the computer at the dealership it shows 2- black options but you can't tell if one is Brunello. Thanks

Thank you. On the page we were ordering on, there were no codes. It was just a description of each item. I'll investigate it further tomorrow.

Looks like the order guide link was taken down. Not that I don't have it saved and printed, but FYI.

I figured this would have happened late day 1 and am surprised it lasted this long. That said, the first thing I did was save a copy. I think in one of these threads, maybe this one, someone posted where they have it hosted on their server for folks to download. I tried to upload it here but I keep getting "invalid file" even though it's a PDF and I've uploaded them here before. Maybe it's too big?
