Moonroof is a major item/decision with strong feelings about them. It is truly a disappointment that so many other desirable items are grouped with it. And the double panel moonroof is the only item I see which would stop the Ultimate Lariat from being applied to the supercab. There is a single panel moonroof already available for the supercab so what would be the big deal in allowing that package on the SC. I really have no desire to see the underside of my camper overhang.

Once the pricing is available some of these options will probably fall out of favor but this is going to be the truck I always wished for. Not necessary for work, not necessary for daily commute and fully capable of navigating 49 states with a house in the box. How long b-4 delivery? I am ready.

If all goes as planned, July 11th is start up day. Then they would hit the dealers first couple of weeks of August. IF....

Know why I dislike the moonroof? Because I live in hail storm country, and don't always get to park underneath cover when storms hit. You think those are going to be cheap to replace?
Or what about in 10 years with some age? Windows leak...solid aluminum panels don't.

I understand your concern, and I share much of it, which is why I don't particularly want a moonroof.

However, the moonroof on our '03 Escape was flawless in the time we had it.

I didn't check, does the Plat or KR come standard with the moon roof? Maybe you can get goodies on either of those without the moon roof.

Pricing should be out today as well. I'm sure someone will leak it with a less link-able name to career.... Or just go to your local friendly Ford dealer!

The order guide does show what can and can't be optioned together as well.

Thanks for this guide. How awesome. The biggest thing I notice is the much, much greater availability of features at the XLT level.

For the first time, you can get the moonroof and the 8" navigation system at the XLT level, as well as heated seats. You can also get the 8" LCD in the instrument cluster, and 20" rims.

You can get auto high beams and rain-sensing wipers at the XLT level.

I have to say, with the price increases expected, I might consider a fully-equipped XLT. I do prefer the leather seats because I have a dog and somehow the dog hair seems to stick to the cloth very well. I also wanted the LED headlights, but that appears to be Lariat Ultimate only.

Pricing will be the ultimate determination. For the most part, the new wheel options look not as nice to me.

As for the moonroof, I love it. Actually, if you get hail and it breaks, many insurance policies have a no-deductible glass replacement program. Much cheaper than repairing body damage. Just need to protect the aluminum hood!

Agreed. A major issue for many people, myself included, is the headroom reduction from the sun/moonroof. I simply do not fit in a 2016 SD with a sunroof. I am trying to get answers on how headroom with the moonroof has changes (need the seat to roof measurements). If it comes back that I still don't fit in the 2017s, it will be a shame to have to do without the other items.

Otherwise, there are a lot of nice improvements listed! How about a thumbs up for larger fuel tanks, 7 cameras, flat floor, bed lights, LEDs, etc., etc.

Price sheet will dictate a lot of my choices. I'm not in a place to just "order what I want". Going to need to see a price sheet before I decide Lariat vs XLT. I'm dubbing the XLT the "new Lariat" with all the options you can get. Have your dealer work some leather in the mix from a local provider, and you are at the 2016 Lariat trim level.

I think pricing will be posted tomorrow. Not individual option prices of course but how much the price of each trim level has increased... I'm looking forward to seeing it myself. At this point, I'm planning to stay Lariat as you can still get a Lariat in two tone Ingot Silver and Magnetic. Since I had my RV custom painted Ingot Silver and Magnetic it kinda is a must have...

I'm wondering, and I'm sure I could figure it out but I've already spent too much time obsessing over the guide already, whether the only differences between a maxed out loaded Lariat and a Platinum will be the upgraded platinum leather seating. 11-16 that was pretty much it other than the Platinum's heated steering wheel. Now you can get the heated wheel on the Lariat so is the softer leather all that's left to differentiate them? If that's the case, I'm def staying Lariat. Soft leather is nice when new but requires more maintenance and doesn't last as long overall. Plus I'm not a fan of the chrome package that's forced on the platinum trim either...

Why do I seem to be the only person that doesn't like them? Not sure why, but I don't, and I had them on a 2011 F-150 Platinum.
I want a loaded Platinum with everything but those running boards, so I guess I need to offer to swap straight across with someone ordering a Lariat without them huh? lol
I am excited that the ambient lighting has made it to the Super Duty though!

Just got home from the dealer.....Email from their tech department said order banks open at 4:00pm, but if not up and running come back Monday, "Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger." At any rate, all the packages and items were listed but no pricing and interactivity between the packages was not working correctly. My sales lady will try tomorrow from home but I will see her again on Monday. Hurrah!! We are that much closer with positive interaction....no waiting till late 2017, no waiting until fall. We are almost there.

Ambient lighting is only on the ultimate Lariat and up, from what I read. We have it in our Lincoln and it is pretty neat. Like most things, some should be static and some should be powered. Here in the snow belt I cannot imagine what a powered running board will do when coated with frozen slush, snow, salt, dirt and anything else which might prevent it from closing. No thanks. I agree and do not like them.

Rasalas if you were in Oregon I'd take your running boards.

So computer will not allow the Power Running Boards with the Chrome Package on the Larait Ultimate, but no where in the order guide does it say that is a conflict? Any one have some insight on that?
