2000 6.8L O/D

My O/D Light flash some times, no codes thrown. What could cause it?

How did you try and read the codes?

Most readers don't read trans codes.

It flashes when I start and it's in park.

Did your check engine light come on? Mine did about a month ago. I forget the code it showed. But it was a sensor on top of the trans. Light just came on again doing the same thing. Need to take it back in and get them to warranty the part. My O/D light was flashing off & on at start up and slow moving. When up to some speed it went away.

There are at least 50 things that could cause this. There IS a code in the computer. You need a better reader to find it. Without the code NOBODY knows what's wrong.

One that you know reads transmission codes.

I use AutoEnginuity, but since you don't have AE and you can't find anyone with a code reader that reads trans codes, I suggest you pay a reputable transmission shop to read them for you.
