I would like to share with my follow FTE'rs a little problem that arose and how I was able to address it,
Last Thursday night my truck Back fired when I turned her off,
didn't think much about it, UNTIL friday mornin when it didn't want to stay running on my way to work, so I turned her around, headed home, parked it and grabbed the camery went to work, anxious to get home and under the hood.
checked the linkage... good...checked the hoses....good turned the key...good now we are up and running....let it warm up....THEN it starts sputtering
so a quick vacuum test....only to find the culprit.... my four port tree had come lose causing the vacuum leak...
I disconnected the vacuum lines pulled the T out re -applied sealer and re-installed T and hoses..problem solved
I hope that this can and will be of help to someone someday
Them cheap easy quick fixes are what I like.....😁
Don't care much for that sinking feeling of truck troubles, it about killed me on the 8 hr wait to get home to get under the hood and turn a wrench😎
