need help

Hey just finished putting 8 injectors in my 2003 f250 6.0 v8 power stroke got it all back together no crank and no fuel pump when I turn the key I checked all fuses relays determined the ignition switch is good the starters good cranks over good by useing the wire on passenger side fender when touching the positive post checked ipr and icp both good connections so I removed the first plug to pcm on drivers side fender with the key turned to run and fuel pump worked pushed it back into pcm and fuel pump stopped working wondering if the pcm was bad would that cause no crank and fuel pump not to get power from key

yes it is, along with a couple other relays. You could change then around for a test if needed, they are the same size.

maybe a ground in the wire. You unplugged it and everything worked, then plugged it back in... I'd start there. Could be a bare spot on the wire.

Look closely at the connector and wires at the fan shroud for the fan clutch. Another posibility is the EBP sensor and its wires or connector. Crank is being inhibited by the PCM because it is seeing something it doesn't like. One posibility is shorted vRef voltage at any of the sensors. These two are just the most common problem areas. This power comes from fuse f2-22 (under the dash) check it specifically. Also make sure the blades of the fuses are between the clips in the fuse box. It's possible to put the fuse in with the blades beside the clips and make a poor connection. It will look like it's in there right but it isn't.

Excellent job Moose! The key was that you plugged a connector in and it stopped... that says a ground.

Make sure your little buddy is gone.
