E40d help

E40d help

E40d no gears dropped transmission and took off up to the planetary gear housing everything looks new like it was rebuildt yesterday with no signs of wear anywear what could cause me to lose all gears except park besides planetary and input shaft

Did you look at both planetaries? Check both sun gears, the weld to the shell can break.

Is there a way to put the transmission into a gear while on the test bench and rotate the various parts?

I don't belive so it's all controlled by the valve body and it has no valve body on it at this point

Only if you have a way to spin the converter at over 1000 RPM so it can build pressure. Without that none of the clutches will engage and you'll have neutral in every position.

Hey mark so is there anything in particular I should look for when I split the pump or will it be obvious if it's broken?
