I've never known them to improve lateral stability much, they don't add much rigidity to the suspension system. They do a great job of supporting weight though.

I tried a set of Torklift Stableloads on my last truck, and I felt a noticeable improvement in stability when I was loaded heavy. I wasn't the only one, a couple of us drove it with them engaged and disengaged at the meet we had in OH a couple years ago. Search for the last thread I started in the SD forum for details. @senix drove my truck with them and had a set on his last truck as well.

I think you should buy them Jay. Its a good deal and it will level off your truck when you bring the kitchen sink with camping.

Plus we need an excuse to GTG and have a beer watching you install them.

A bit small, but that's a great price Cory!

We may have to hold off on the camper this year, not sure yet. Couple weeks ago Hannah's primary doc suggested that she get evaluated for a power wheelchair. I've always been against the idea, but her neurosurgeon confirmed that may be a good idea for her.

I'm slowly losing that battle, and if we go that route we may need a larger van, or modifications to the Odyssey. Everything wheelchair accessible is expen$ive.

I am leaning toward the idea of getting them Cory. Not for lateral stability but for those kitchen sink times. LOL

And a GTG is always a good idea.

Yes I did have the stableloads and drove Tom's with them as well.

Simple design but does a good job. I'd recommend them.

My only issue with be sure to paint them to keep the corrosion down.

Thanks Scott. Always fun poking people with the tag function.

Karri and I stopped at a handicap van dealer on the way home from the hospital yesterday. We spent almost an hour there asking questions, and we learned a lot. Man those things are expen$ive! A new lower-end minivan with a handicap conversion is about $50,000, and it's about $20,000 to have a minivan that we supply converted. If we need to go that route we're considering a full-size van. Those are cheaper to adapt, but much more cumbersome to operate. We'll have to see how things go, but if she gets a power chair a big change has to happen for us.
