Honestly, when comparing the newer Titans to the Big Three, I think they are far better. I'd pick a F150 over one. But it's a far better truck than a Dodge of GM. Far better...
Part of the problem we're facing is the relatively spartan selection of full-size vans. The E-series dates back almost two decades before I was born, and for some reason my wife really hates the GM vans. I like the Transit, but it''s not rated to tow very much. If we're gonna get something with awful gas mileage I want it to be able to pull a camper if we get one in the future.
The Nissan has its downfalls. That huge schnoz on the front means a 12-passenger van is longer than competing 15-passenger designs from Ford and GM. They're also the hardest to find, a nationwide search on www.cars.com only shows a couple dozen used NV passenger vans to be had, and eBay isn't much better. Transits are everywhere, but they all have the base V6 and very few have SYNC or the factory tow package. I can find a GM van, but getting my wife to even agree to go on a test drive is another matter.
