where do you and what is and can i ( lol ) lower my alternator down to the lower left. that seems to make everything stand out so much better

Alternators work best up high where they avoid more of the road splash that can corrode their parts and connections.

You didn't say what engine you have, or is it the 360 in your sig?

Eric & I very busy with 90+ forums to watch over.
We get back to threads we posted in, sometimes 5 minutes sometimes 5 hours, once in a while 5 days

There are couple of things you can do but, they both require a visit to a wrecking yard.

The differences are the large mounting bracket & aluminium Spacers.
The major problem will be with mounting the main bracket on the block/head.
The water pump is cruical to this also.

The wrecking yard is still the place to go though
