What fuse panel do I need
Hey guys,
I have a 2004 f350 4x4 reg cab SLT 6.0.
My high beams have always been messed up but if you wiggle the fuse, they'll come on and go back out. Now, the same is happening with the relay for my radio, odometer, gauges, power Windows, and wipers. So I am looking for the fuse panel to go under the dash. Do I need a panel from my exact truck, or will other ones work? I assume an XL truck or gas won't work but maybe other 6.0 years or crew cab wouldn't matter?
Thanks

You need the 04 one for a diesel. Not sure about
03. The reason is they went to a 2 box system I
think in was in 05.
Maybe someone could chime in on that. EDIT : Confirmed that the change was the End of the 04 run.
Ill post the 2 years for you to look at to see how they differ.
The first PDF is the 04 CJB and the second one is the 05+ CJB & BJB.
In 05+ they went to a BJC & CJB. The CJB is in the cab and the BJB is in the
engine bay near the firewall on the drivers side.

I had a problem with the trailer running light circuit on my 04. They did not work since I bought the truck used. After hours of troubleshooting I went to a junk yard and asked to walk the Ford truck section. After finding another 04 6.0 I pulled the main fuse panel payed around $100.00 for it. After replacing the panel (its a PITA to get to the connectors on the back).
I found that the panel is several boards stacked on top of each other, and that the relay that controlled the running lights had fallen off between the boards. Looked like it had overheated, melted the solder that held it on, and fell off. Good thing the boards are covered with varnish or something like it, could have shorted out the panel and caused some interesting problems.
I'm guessing that something has come loose between the boards. There are a lot of connectors that are between the two. Banging on it probably makes a temporary re-connection.
Hope this helps.

The coating is an environmental coating that (Should) keep
water out for a while. But it never seems to last with a leaky
front window seal.
