electrical problem
Hi I have a 97 f150 4x4 auto while driving the speedometer comes on and off. The overdrive light comes on and off and so does the 4x4 light When I shut the truck off the heat blower comes on and will kill the battery Any idea's???

Sounds like water in your GEM module. This is the Generic Electronics Module, located behind the fuse panel under the left side of your dash panel. Water is getting in there from a windshield leak. Get that fixed first. Then if you are lucky you can take the fuse panel out and seperate the GEM from the fuse panel, dry it out. If there is no corrosion in there, put it back together. If corroded, you may have to replace both the GEM and the fuse panel. Good luck!
