When taking the door panels off to replace the window tracks I noticed my dear father in law had screwed in two screws to hold in the lower door panel/map pocket. Upon removing the upper panel I found the two plastic tabs that hold the map pocket separated from it. I would rather eliminate the two screws right in the middle of the lower panel, but don't want to buy new panels right now. I am going to attempt to glue the tabs back to the panel. It's a clean break and will make a good seal. My question is what type plastic is the panel so I can use the proper adhesive. Thanks!
Do even look at anything else PLASTEX PLASTIC REPAIR KITS
I have used it on plastic dash & gauge surround on a car I am restoring.
The gauge surround I had to make lips the screws go thru to hold it to the main dash frame.
I also used it on the side panels of my John Deere 445 garden tractor to repair cracks and "glue" a chunk back in place.
I have pictures if you want to see them of each.
Dave ----
With Plastex the glue is stronger than the original part.
I had a part I repaired sitting on a table. I knocked it off and when it hit the floor and broke it did not brake at the glue but a little bit down from it
It hit right on the part I repaired so it is not like it broke where it did because it did not stress the repair.

I have not seen it in stores but then again I have not been looking for it in stores.
I got mine on line years ago think thru them.
Reminds me I need to order some more to have on hand.
That one is my street car project I will be working on again once my F100 flare side is on the road. I also have a Javelin drag car and a factory V8 Gremlin.
If you guys think our Fords are hard to get parts for try a company that has not been around since 1988!
