f250. Passenger window quit working only. Saturday my wife went to put window down and it stopped after about 2". Wouldn't go back up. I tried from drivers side, nope. After about 30 flips of the switch it went up, Thank God, its winter!. Yesterday tried to put it down to see if it was working and No. Checked #3 fuse and looks fine. My wife was getting a little static when she touched door to get out but we thought it was just her clothes but now the static seems to be gone. Coincidence? Any Ideas.
I can see if the wife was giving you some static it would be a problem but highly doubt the static discharge affected the window operation...
If truck is under warranty, have dealer check it. Might be a loose connection from the truck to the door. Does the lock unlock button work? How about the mirror fold unfold or mirror positioning?
Check the harness from the door to where it plugs into the truck would be my initial check of the problem. Might unplug and spray with WD40. The plug and unplug the connector a few times.
Out of warranty. Will Check other buttons a little later as its 9 above here this morning and I have no garage. With the static, I was wondering if there is a ground in the door for the motor? I will check the wires from the door as well. Any idea how far they go in the truck? Where the plug might be?

Let us know if you're able to track down the cause of this issue, sealer700. If you run into any obstacles, you can always get this in front of your dealership. How many miles are on your truck?
I am at a loss. I did some checking on this finally and traced power all the way to the window regulator flipping switch both ways so i figured if I have power at regulator with switch but no movement of motor has to be motor. Bought a new ford regulator, plugged it in and nothing. My Question, Do you think the regulator would ground through the door because i didn't install it, I just plugged it in to see if it would work. ANY HELP… PLEASE
Check your ground paths from the motor back thru the switches. IIRC, the switch just flips the wire actions- 1 is hot and the other is ground. This flip-flops for going the other direction.
