Unhappy Passenger window woes

The other day my passenger side power window started acting up, at first it did not want to roll down but would go up. Then when I had the drivers side door open it would go up or down. The next day it would only go up even if I had the door open but if I opened and closed the drivers door a couple times it would go down. Now no matter what I do the window will not go down just up, I first figured it was the wiring in the driver side door, so I pulled the boot out from the door and checked all the wires but could not find any broken or rubbed. Then I thought maybe it was a fuse but was unable to find any fuses blown and still I cannot roll down my passenger side window. If somebody has some input on this it would be greatly appreciated.

I have to bang on my drivers side door molding to get my window to come up or down for the first move of the day, after that, it's fine, haven't figured out the problem yet. I think it's just lack of lubrication or the swtich is getting ready to go out. the swtich is expensive to replace, not wanting to do that yet

Well it's been fine for a little over two years until now.... I'm not sure what the problem is either.... I don't imagine that my switch is bad because the passenger side switch won't work either I'm thinking there is a wiring problem somewhere but I haven't found it yet. Is there a good way to test the wiring?

when my passenger rear window stopped responding it turned out to be the master switch on the drivers door..

the way the wiring works if that switch fails it prevents any of teh others from working aswell..

switch was pretty expensive but then again you also get all 4 window switchs/power door switch in one all new when you replace it

I just checked the wiring diagram for a 2002 (sorry, that is as far back as my diagrams go) and Fordfanatic is 100% correct.

Basically power goes into the drivers window switch which serves as a distribution box for the power to all window motors... There are separate wires for each motor after that, so if BOTH front windows go up, but neither will go down, then you have a problem with that drivers window switch.
