Well I have a 2011F250 powerstroke. I recently put a 5" down pipe back exhaust on it. I ordered a 5" to 7" tip and it came in today. Problem is that it's 18" long so the only way it would work is if it exits at the corner of the truck. Looking for your guys opinions if it will look good or not. Thanks
Well I ended up jumping the gun and doing it. I'm not sure how I really feel about it. I had to cut the exhaust back right at the bend to make it work. Well now the exhaust tip is like hiding under the truck. I will leave it for now and see if it grows on me.
From what I read in the manual ti says not to modify the exhaust tip on the 6.7 PSD. I guess the fins on the tip help to make the exhaust flow out better. it was very specific about keeping them clean from mud and debris. Looks nice though. Probably should have extended it further past the bumper. Those things get pretty hot.
Well we will see. I have seen alot of videos with different tips and exhaust so I'm not to worried. I wanted it to come out closer to the bumper but it wouldnt work. If I cut the exhaust before the bend in my tail pipe the exhaust tip would stick out 6". I cut the pipe right at the bend and that's were the tip ended up.
