I did a full brake job on my f150 and noticed 2 things. 1 somebody had curbed one side of my auto locking hub so I had to break then off and that the washer in between the 2 spindle nuts is broken. I was able to put it all together but my 4x4 doesn't work. So I decided to go to a manual locking hub. But all the ones I can find have 6 screws on the cap and mine only have 5. So if anyone has any part numbers or help that would be great.
If so you have what you need the number of cap screws as compared to what you have now is irrelevant.
If you only bought manual lockout caps and nothing else with them? then return them as you will need the compete lockout assembly. If bought used off a donor at the bone yard? then go back and get the rest of em.
You need everything shown in the image to convert to manual hubs if that isn't what you already bought.
Yeah the number of screws is irrelevant. The entire hub body and cap will be replaced. You can go to warn's website (or mile marker) and they'll tell you what you need.
If you didn't get one already, you should be able to pick up one of those spindle nut washers at most local parts stores.
