Wow, after reading all this I think when my time is up for the FICM upgrade I am going to go with the Atlas 40 tune. I already have the 4" exhaust on it. This is some good info.
The Atlas 40 tune, like the other PHP tunes, uses the same heat induction strategy found in the latest version of Ford's software.
So...if someone is coming from the latest version of Ford's software, opts to get a PHP tune from us while their FICM is being repaired and finds that their truck starts just oh-so-much-better when they get the module back, that can be attributed really only to the fact that the module is working properly at that point.
Of course, many have no idea what version of software they have on their FICM and numerous folks don't have an induction heating strategy on their module at all. When moving from a non-inductive strategy to an inductive strategy, the difference in cold starting s HUGE.

The inductive heating is simply moving the spool valve back and forth, correct? Kind of a clicking sound that increases over about 30 seconds when its real cold? Because I do have that which I assumed was the inductive heating.
