tbo removal

I get the 10 mm bolt -rear driver side turbo stand off- any ideas

You got the hardest one if your talking about the bolts. Three more to go!

Here's a link to a youtube video on removing a turbo. I used a 1/4" drive socket and a 1/4" universal joint and got it out. You can wrap tape around the universal joint to keep it from flopping around too much.


If the bolt head is stripped, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe somehow get back there with a die grinder and grind the bolt head off, then take what's left of the bolt out with vice-grips once the pedestal is off. I doubt it's stripped though.

I haven't done this job before, but wobble's are your friend. They have range of motion like a swivel but don't flop as much and don't bind.

I used a 1/4" drive 6pt 10mm swivel socket.

Piece of cake with this.
If it really is stripped you'll have to do what was suggested above unfortunately.
