So since I bought this truck a few weeks back I noticed it rode alittle "rougher" than some of the other trucks I test drove. But for the life of me I could not find anything suspension wise so I crawled under and looked else where to find this......
I'm ordering new mounts from AutoNation Ford White Bear Lake | Parts & Accessories I've read good and bad things about using after market poly bushings, and I'm just not wanting to take the risk. I want it to ride like factory. There are a total of 8 mounts, just the rears are going to run $150.
Also on a side note, I'm thinking of swapping out the exhaust. The downpipe is a full 4' and its hitting in alot of places. Do most of you run the 3.5" DP like MBRP makes?
Passenger far rear
Top of same one, basically gone
Here you can actually see where the shell has been hitting the frame bracket
The middle ones look ok but are pretty dry rotted
Drivers far rear is completely gone top and bottom
The exhaust pipe is whacking the cross member because the hanger isn't even being used
That sucks! That truck looked practically new when you posted pics a few weeks ago. Are you going to replace all of them or jusst the bad ones? If so, do you mind letting us know how much they cost for a full set?
Thanks!

For whatever reason wherever the truck was before me all of the bump stops and body mounts seemed to have just disinigrated. Weird because all the bushings and insulator pads on the suspension look great. I'll post up the part numbers when I order them. I'll prob do half now half later. Just to much to swallow all at once right now!

Yes, I have the MBRP 4" TB with the 3.5" DP. Easy to install.
Good deal, that's what I'm finding that most are using, the 3.5" dp. Fits better and gives better low end torque than a 4"
4" MBRP with the 3.5" DP and I agree with the above it is easy, the only issue you will have is removing old DP so either you cut it which is what I did or you can remove cross member. I did not want to remove cross member so cutting worked with no issues. I have no CAT or MUFF now and people hate me lol.

That white looking residue almost looks like salt. If I'm not mistaken you picked it up in FL. Maybe they lived up north prior to FL. Of course, it may not be salt at all.just an observation.

No, they look like that if they've lived in Florida all their life too. Mine has the same problem amd the one before it did too. I think it's just a cheap rubber problem from Ford. I may wind up going aftermarket to see if they last longer. On my previous truck, F250, they went out in about 4 years.

So you've replaced yours more than once with the oem bushings? And they continue to break down like that ^ ?

The truck was in NJ unfortunately for a few years. I'm from NH and I agree that white looked like a salty residue. I power washed the underside once just to get the big chunks, but I needs to get deeper in the cracks and crevices.
