I guess I got lucky, I got mine from the ecology center where you take the parts off yourself. I only paid $35. Although they were from a ford truck, I got them for my jeep.

This job is in my very near future. All mounts except for the ones behind the front seats are toast.
I've been gathering bits and pieces of information on how best to do this.
Dr. Huxtable - did you get this done?
Can you tell us how you did and how you got it done?
I'm thinking about going with the Daystars or Energy Suspension bushings.
First thing i'm going to do is build a puller.
But what i'm really interested in is how best to loosen the bolts and lift the cab.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't changed these on a F250 but on many vehicles the fasteners are "self locking". They do this by slightly mashing the nut part out of round after the threads are cut. Chasing them with a tap would make them easier to install but would defeat the self locking feature and possibly allow it to come loose later.

Thanks Rusty. I'll look for that.
I got some good info from DieselTechRon on YouTube (Body Removal).
When he shows loosening up the body mounts he mentions that Ford uses Loctite during assembly. I noticed loctite on some of the pics from thread;
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...hredded-4.html
post 52 so i'm guessing thats how they did it.
Ron also mentions that its not necessary to put Loctite back on during reinstall.
Thanks for your reply.
Regards,
John

Haven't done it yet. I actually just got the bushings in this week, just trying to find some spare time to do it among other projects at home! I'll be posting pics of the whole process and my observations

I've seen a few, all of them much cheaper than OEM.
2006 FORD F 250 SUPER DUTY Energy Suspension Body Mount Bushings 4-4120R - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing
Body Mounts - 99-07 Ford Super Duty 4WD | Daystar

I think Dorman made a set for the superduty but i cant seem to find them at the moment.

I also should have mentioned these are bushing replacement sets. You have to use your old nuts and bolts I hopefully assume (maybe someone can expound on that last statement).

Are you running those on your truck? From some reading I had done I think on here, the poly sets just didn't ride that great. Much stiffer than factory, but I haven't tried them so I can't say from experience. The factory ride quality was excellent in other trucks I test drove with none blown oem bushings. I want it to ride like I just drove it off the showroom floor.

Here are the oem sets, comes with all new hardware as well. They are expensive no doubt but for an item like this it was worth it to me.

Here are the oem part #'s for future searchers. There is an upper and lower for each.

The two behind the rear seat, and the two below the area by your feet in front are:

TOP: 7C3Z-1000154-LB
BOTTOM: 5C3Z-1000155-B

The two in the center of the cab are:

TOP: 2C3Z-1000154-KA
BOTTOM: 2C3Z-1000155-GA

How it sits when on your truck

I still have the original factory set. Not sure if I will "Upgrade" or stick with stock.
