[QUOTE=Dr.Huxtable;16147296]Here are the oem sets, comes with all new hardware as well. They are expensive no doubt but for an item like this it was worth it to me.

Dr, what was your price on that set of 4?
or can you provide a link to the the item where you purchased them please?

[QUOTE=Yahiko;16147543]I still have the original factory set. Not sure if I will "Upgrade" or stick with stock.

I agree with Dr. that i would like to maintain the factory ride as well but i dont want to have to replace them again in 5 yrs + the extra cost.

I have found mostly good reviews on the Energy Suspension....

Body Mount Bushings Kit - Ford F250 Super Duty

One of the reviewers i read last night said he stretched and ruined the intercooler boots when lifting the front of the cab and this was not in the instructions. I'll post the review link if i can find it again.

I'll most likely order the Energy Suspension bushings.

Here is an interesting youtube on lubricating polyurethane bushings to prevent squeaking.

I just read through this thread, didn't realize this topic was already being covered there. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-shredded.html

It seems 50/50 on guys who have used OEM vs poly. I don't think anyone can definitively say one is hands down better than the other honestly.

If your thing is to "replace them all and be done with it" then I would go with the poly kit. Your ride quality will be improved over destroyed oem ones and your cost will be lower. I don't think ride quality will be as good as factory, but I would agree that poly will most likely last longer. I've used poly on alot of vehicles in the past and I don't think I've ever seen a poly bushing do like the pics posted in this thread. Only downside is that you don't get any hardware so just hope that you can get the factory ones apart with out having to cut them off. As long as your not in salty environment it shouldn't be a problem.

I feel like as I'm writing this I should just get the poly set lol

I got them from here: AutoNation Ford White Bear Lake | Parts & Accessories
Total cost for them was $250

DR H,
Are those orange versions in your pics not poly? They look poly.

No they're def not poly. They feel more like foam, but like the hardest foam you've ever laid your hand on lol. Feels to me like they would out preform rubber and poly on a ride quality standpoint but longevity and price is a problem with oem. If you went all factory it would be about $550ish to replace them all. Aftermarket is less than $200

200 bucks is actually just for the aftermarket bushings (actually, they can be had for around 150ish) BUT, if you also need the hardware, thats another 160 bucks. You can get after market hardware kits for the after market bushings as well.

Gettin after it this weekend

Last weekend finished up my exhaust - cat delete with Aero Resonator. had to weld the tail pipe back together but came out nice and sounds great. Not to loud but has a low bark when ya get on it.

I'll be replacing my body mount bushing this weekend. Going with the Energy Suspension Red (i dont think color makes a bit of difference). pretty much have it all planned out. The only 2 items i havent' resolved yet are:
whether or not to use grease on the poly bushings. The suppurt guy at Energy Suspensions says you dont need it as long as you torque to spec, which brings me to next item; I've only found 2 instances where body mount torgue is given. One guy says his service book says 60lbs and another says 80lbs, oh and another guy says whatever feels right
I'll probably go with 60lbs and no grease. I'll let ya'll know how it goes.

Here are some of the Ford Shop Workbook pages.
Most all are the same and the only one that I found that used a different
torque value was the core support. I also included the torque spec sheet.

Enjoy and watch the fingers.

EDIT : This is from the 2006 year Shop Workbook.

I replaced my front sway bar bushings about four months ago maybe more but anyhow I used energy bushings and purchased there grease that seemed to work great. I'll have to see if I have a tube of it still to tell you what it is. Some people recommend not using it but it worked great for me. Sure it's not a body mount so maybe this calls for it. It's also water proof

Energy Suspension sells tubs of it on their site but i think its just for the suspension bushings. I'm tempted to use it but the only thing I'm worried about is having it dry out over time and then having a squeak worse than with no grease.
The support guy there told me that if you torque them down to spec they will not move or squeak. we'll see. (squeaks of any kind drive me bonkers)
