So you've replaced yours more than once with the oem bushings? And they continue to break down like that ^ ?
No, I actually redneck engineered mine and replaced them with semi truck mudflaps cut out with a hole saw. My old truck was an 09 and they were shot by 2011 when I bought it. After I replaced it with the mudflaps, they were still in good shape when I sold it 2 years ago.
For the question about how hard it is to replace them, it's a pain! You have to be able to hold the cener section while trying to unbolt the top.
So since I bought this truck a few weeks back I noticed it rode alittle "rougher" than some of the other trucks I test drove. But for the life of me I could not find anything suspension wise so I crawled under and looked else where to find this......
I'm ordering new mounts from AutoNation Ford White Bear Lake | Parts & Accessories I've read good and bad things about using after market poly bushings, and I'm just not wanting to take the risk. I want it to ride like factory. There are a total of 8 mounts, just the rears are going to run $150.

Mine rides like crap as well, I even made a thread about it (https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-a-stiffy.html), and only came to the conclusion it could be the shocks. I am going to have to look under my truck as well, and I still need to take it in to a suspension shop to get it checked out anyways.
The crew cabs have 8 total, 4 on each side. Not sure about the extended cabs.
When I did mine I went with OEM and only did 4. I left the middle one's and the one's under the radiator, they still looked pretty good.
They were not really that hard to replace, you will need to remove the back seat and lift up the carpet. Also you will need to loosen all the mounts before jacking up the body. You can jack up one side at a time and replace the mounts. After re moving the body mount bolt from the top, the bottom nut part may be frozen in the body. There is a trick to removing it without beating on it.
If it was a NH truck, the entire underside would be gone.
No no the truck was never in NH. That's where I'm from, but have lived in SC since 2007. The truck spent a few years in VA, then less than two years in NJ, then FL for the past 4 or 5 years. I was just saying I'm very very familiar with northern rust!

.
Those are the exact ones I was going to replace as well. The two that are by your feet in the front seats and the two that are the farthest in the rear. I actually have the rear seat out already working on a subwoofer box. The other 4 look fine.
Would you mind sharing the trick if the bottom nut part is frozen to the body?

Not at all.
Basically your going to make a puller and pull it out from the bottom using the body mount bolt.
Check out post #54 in this thread, also post #52 to see the old verses new body mounts.
I have a new-to-me 06 crew Lariat long bed. I noticed same deterioration in cab mounts when i was inspecting the truck for purchase. I also noticed it in the axle bumpers- at least one of those is completely gone. This truck has always been in south Florida. Underneath is completely free of any rust anywhere. Must be the Florida humidity + Heat + salt air. I've read somewhere that an occasional spray of wd-40 helps to preserve. Anyway, after reading this thread i now have to get back under for a closer inspection. One note; if any of the cab mounts were completely gone i wold expect the body lines between the truck and the bed to be little off. Would that be correct?
Replaced my 2 at the rear of the cab today, they seem to be the only bad ones. I may do the others later on just to smooth it out.
Old vs New
Wow those look just like mine, I can't believe how tall the oem ones actually are! Was it a hard job? I still haven't done mine yet. Just got running boards, a s&b intake, and I'm having the drivers seat recovered. Body mounts will be next. I may be shooting you a pm to ask how you went about doing it if that's ok.

I would guess maybe slightly. If anything the cab may sit low, just by looking at the pictures above ^
I replaced my two rear ones about 6 months ago. took less than 2 hours start to finish. Was really easy, did it by myself. My body lines were straight. what got my attention was a banging sound when I'd go over a curb or down a rough dirt road. I thought my muffler brackets had came loose, it was the rear of the cab hitting the frame. Had to loosen the ones behind front seat and jacked up the cab one side at a time. The ones behind front seat were fine.
It's not that hard of a job. It's a bit more then say changing the oil. I do remember not breaking loose all of the body mounts and I started to stress out the cab. I took off all the mounts on the side I was working on, and on the other side I backed them out about half way. This was enough room for the cab to come up enough to replace the mount.

It wasn't hard, just getting the body up far enough to get the new one's in without a proper lift was the hard part. I didn't loosen all the mounts but used a 4X4 and a car jack, I was just barely able to get the spacing I needed to get the new one in.
Going to replace the body bushings on my 2005 Superduty,,,getting all the parts together,,someone recommended to chase threads with tap and die to make the reinstall easier,,,,does anyone know off hand what size the bolts are? 12mm ,,,14mm? thanks
