Question Dome/map light installation

I am a visitor from the 61-66 galaxy and I need some help. I purchased a diecast chrome dome/map light commonly used on the 1980 and up trucks and Broncos that I want to install in my 66 restoration (the one with the white center cover and two little porthole lenses for map lights). I've studied it and besides one screw hole that will also serve as a ground, I can't figure out how it mounts. I'm capable of making a bracket if I can determine how the underside of the light mates to it. Anybody have any photos of the cab roof showing the details?? I might have to find an appropriate vehicle in a parts yard and dissect that section...but there goes another search. Thanks for any assistance or description anyone can provide....now back to the 60's....

Under the dome light lens on that light there should be two screw holes. One for the ground and one for the 12v connection. Those screws are also used to attach the light to the body. The F series had the plate attached to the roof. You could cut one out at the junk yard and weld it into place to support the light.

Thanks for your quick reply and help! I'm aware of the connection points you mention, I just don't get how you can use screws to attach both points to the body as they would have to somehow be insulated from one another to avoid shorting...

I dont have a pic, but the 12v source screw goes into a insulated "nutsert" kinda like license plate screw. it insulates the screw from the sheetmetal, but also allows power to transfer

EDIT:
In the 4th post you can blow up the pics
