Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Running around trying to find out who called us from the hospital. Left no message but the caller ID lists the hospital phone number....

Home depot was worse....no one seemed to understand, even when I held something in my hand and said..."just like this, only with larger wire"....they kept showing me dryer wiring. Oh well, I did some improvising and used my welder extension, and all is well.
Nice weather today...in the mid 40's. Did some paperwork, ran errands and called it a day.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Mystery solved. Made the 35 mile round trip since the hospital wouldn't talk to me and my MIL wasn't answering the phone. Got ahold of a Care home employee just before I got there. They were just getting back to the care home from the hospital with her. They confirmed the MIL had taken another fall and they took her to the hospital. She says the hospital called my wife after she gave them the number, doesn't know why they would have hung up without leaving a message. I checked her out for myself, confirmed she is too mean and stubborn to be hurt too bad. After talking to her for a bit, I came back home.
Now where did I put that Rum?

BTW: 10 Ga extension cords, pre made are common for RVs. My Home Depot has them with all the extension cords. A local Farm & Ranch supply has them. RV places have them....probably higher priced. 25 ft and 30 ft are common.

It's amazing how sometimes you can go in to those stores, and if you can even find anyone, they are total idiots.
Around here I can always tell when contractors are having a hard time finding remodeling or building jobs....You go into Lowe's and there is an "older" group of employees who actually know what you are talking about and have had obvious contracting experience!

Thanks guys....good info Roy.....our local farm supply did not have them, but at least they knew what I wanted. I can check with a RV place , but none in town. Chances are, if I go back to one of the plces I've been, and talk to someone else, and it happens to be someone who knows something, and cares about customer service, it will magicly appear on the shelf........then I'll go buy a lottery ticket, and.......ummmm..... did someone say rum???

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Up to 39.1°, overcast, wet and supposed to be more rain.

Wayne, Lowes web site says they have 3 different 10/3 extension cords in stock in Bend and the same 3 in stock in Redmond. I believe they are 25, 50 and 100 footers. Take the BIG truck that can carry lots of gold bars!
