Belated good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Been back and forth trying to get motivated cutting holes in the ceiling, running wire and watching the news from New York.
Hi Joe! Great to see you are upright and taking nourishment. We are trying to keep the excitement to a minimum. Helps with the blood pressure.
A not quite still morning good morning gentlemen (is that safe.... all guys here?)
I just finished a G-job at work. Had the wheel bearing on the front right on my Escape go out. Spun the hub inside the race. I pulled the knuckle last night but couldn't budge the bearing out. Brought it in to work and got it swapped out on the press. Time to reassemble tonight.
Good evening Oregon Chapter and visitors.
Had a great day at the Zoo. Tomorrow We are off to the Evergreen Air and Space Museum.
John so far good weather!
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Blue sky and sunshine. Just getting packed up and ready to take off on an overnighter to Hebo Lake on Mt. Hebo.

Chris, that sounds like a good time....enjoy the day!
Jim, you are much braver than I am.....I can't imagine cutting holes in the ceiling..
Hole in the ceiling actually was the easiest part of the project. Was able to get it cut without spending $16 on the 4 1/2 inch ceiling fixture hole saw at Lowe's. Also got it done without chipping or cracking the plaster. (We have lath & plaster walls and ceiling and not the gypsum dry wall. Causes some real problems when trying to do anything)
Used a 1" drill bit on a high speed drill for a center hole and holes all the way around the circumference and then a recip saw with a brand new fine tooth blade to finish and trim it out. The only problem I ran into, was the instructions called for a 4 1/2 hole which is actually about a 1/4" too big and caused a minor problem with the mounting brace for the ceiling fan.
Fishing the cable between the ceiling and the floor above actually went much smother and easier than I thought it would. Trying to get the cable down the wall to a wall switch was a different story. That was a "no go" so I had to go to "Plan B".
Good afternoon. I'm just taking care of the little guy today and waiting on the repair person to come fix out broken 5 month old dishwasher. They were supposed to fix it last week but we were "dropped off the list".
