Within three days the alternator and fuse #23 blew. After replacing these and the fuel filter (because of stalling during acceleration), I took it for a diagnostic check at O'Reileys because the stalling while accelerating worsened, it wasn't shifting correctly and the O/D light began flashing on the shifter.
It hit on these 13 error codes:
P7055
P0446
P0750
P0443
P0743
P0135
P0141
P0155
P0161
P2195
P2197
P0423
P1747
I have researched each code (definitions, what to examine/test, and the locaton of each part). My question is that with this many hits is it most likely a problem with the PCM, or should I just proceed with checking each connection, wiring and solenoid individually? The EGR Valve tested fine and the alternator is pushing 14.6 v...any and all advice is much appreciated! Thank y'all in advance!!
have you tried to clear the codes ( take + cable off battery for 5 minutes) and see what comes back ? The alternator / blown fuse might have set off several electrical codes that are not fixed ?
should I just proceed with checking each connection, wiring and solenoid individually?
No, all those fault codes have the F23 feed in common.
Check for the O2 wiring harness laying on the exhaust manifold or driveshaft.
All of the initial codes were cause when F23 blew and a melted wire is the most common (but not only) cause.
If all this began when the alternator failed and was replaced, I'd suspect something wrong with that workmanship. If there was any other work done on the engine or front end shortly prior to the failure, I'd suspect it.
