You will get more responses in the diesel section of the forums, as to your original question
HPOP-high pressure oil pump
and it is no necessary.
High Pressure Oil Pump. And no. The HPOP reservoir holds about a quart of oil and is circulated through the injectors then drains down into the oil pan. It is the same oil throughout the engine. When you do an oil change, that oil is not removed unless you pull the plug on top and suck it out and fill it up with new oil. If you want to get all the dirty oil out, and you have a way to suck it out of there, then feel free to do so. Some guys do, many do not.
The others have told you what the HPOP is, what it does is supply highly pressurized engine oil to the injectors. The system is called HEUI (Hydraulic Electric Unit Injection). Basically, oil pushes on an internal assembly that multiplies the pressure supplied to create an even higher pressure fuel spray from the nozzle.
It's not necessary to take out the old oil from the HPOP reservoir, and even if you tried, there is still a lot more remaining in the pump, the rails, etc that you won't get out. As others have stated it circulates very quickly with the rest of the engine oil. There will always be some leftovers when you do an oil change, that leftover isn't going to hurt anything at all.
Change the oil as recommended by Ford in the owner's manual, and you'll be just fine.
