Anyone know if Vehicle Health Report will run with a tuned truck or any hazards of running it? I know you have to unplug from OBD II port.
No hazards but I had to unplug my edge insight for it to be able run a health report. Left it out while I upgraded.
I have yet to see any benefit to this upgrade, but my sync was acting buggie so maybe that was addressed. I wasn't a siri user but I tried out a few times to see what was up and she cannot google search while vehicle is moving. What benefit can she be?
I'm running rooted Samsung Galaxy S6, S5 Active, and S4. All with a custom roms. No unnecessary Samsung or AT&T bloatware any more.
I don't buy the new phones from the cell companies any more. I prefer to find a used phone that is the international version. They come unlocked and no bloatware. They work on the networks that use the sim cards for sure.
Right now I have a Note 3, model SM-N9005. It came from the UAE in the middle east. Works great on the Straight Talk/AT&T sim card and network.
Unlocked is the way to go. I haven't ever purchased a smartphone from a carrier.
Back on topic, does this update include anything else? And is it only for MFT equipped vehicles? I know my current version of Sync in the Fusion has been buggy since I updated over the summer....wouldn't mind a new update.
Hey, maybe you all know what my issue is here. I downloaded, unzipped, and put the update files on a USB flash drive. My truck will not recognize it. Could this be because the drive is formatted in OS EJ as opposed to FAT32 or NTFS?
I'll have to try reformatting in FAT32 on mom's Windows based laptop and downloading the update again. I tried doing it in bootcamp on two different drives but it would seem that Windows in bootcamp doesn't want to play nice with my USB drives.

Like SeaBee said, go FAT or go home.
I too run Mac OS and I reformatted thinking I needed to for the Iphone update. But NO, not the case. So trash you files and make sure you REFORMAT in MS FAT, the add back in your files, there are 2, 1 is the executable, its a very small file, the other is the folder that contains all the files you need, they are Zipped, do NOT unzip them, you should have no problems: Be sure your truck is RUNNING for this , it will take about 30 min. RELINK your fone!!!
I had to reformat the USB stick in Mac OS to be able to write to it. It was formatted Windows previously but you can write to it when it's formatted in NTFS or FAT32 on a MAC. Will need a Windows unit to reformat and set up the stick.
Hey Guys, What button on the steering wheel do you push for 3 seconds to trigger Siri? I can call Siri on my IPhone by pushing the button on the phone but not with any of the steering wheel buttons. Also I have an early build 2011 with no Nav

I may be wrong (((shudder))) but my guess is the button with the talking face on it on the right side of the wheel above the telephone button?
Well, I'm SOL. Reformatted to FAT and now the truck recognizes the drive but says no media. Tried it zipped, unzipped, in it's folder out of it's folder, and nothing. Guess it's really not that important as I've never used Siri and actually have it turned off on my phone. I just thought that it would be good to update for whatever else it came with. Oh well. The first screenshot are the unzipped files from the download. The second is a shot of inside the contained syncmyride folder.

Which SYNC software version are you currently running?

Hi frt2599,
It sounds like your vehicle is not equipped with SYNC. Please send me a PM with your VIN and I'll check it out.

Hey Karl4Cat,
You should have 3 items on your flash drive. a SyncMyRide folder, an autoinstall.lst file, and a DONTINDX.MSA file. If you have anything other than these items, that could be the problem. Did you obtain the update from your SYNC account: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...p-to-date.html
