Letting them sit is definitely worse, you replace tires that are dry-rot but have 90% tread.
Drive like you stole it puts a grin on your mug.

Nah, 'cause I don't drink at work related activities, so no chance.
My
is the fact that I have to spend time with people (my time) that I spend too much time around already.

You should get with Texxan, he seems to do everything you are looking to do.

My shop owners are confusing as ****. They like me, then they dont, then they do.
I did a GEM car for the parents, then in front of the whole family they decide to tell me what I did wrong, when I have ****ING REFERENCE PICTURES.
People who manage and have never done the work themselves, are the absolute worse.

You maybe be better off looking for a better tailgate. Want join the junkyard day list? It be sometime mid to late Jan.
Well the truck budget get cut some more. Glad there is nothing important I hAve to do.
Told the wife what her 60th birthday present was goin to be. I am taking her on her first cruise either 3 or 5 days to the Bahamas.
Between that and saving for the camper down payment don't see much for the truck, but she snuggles better than thetruck

You should really be looking at a replacement tailgate...too much cancer.
In 12-16 months the oozing pores of brownish-orange-auburn will start to seep through your paint and you will be back to square one. IMO.

3rd on the new tailgate. Thats a good practice piece, but it will also rust through unless you blow the gate apart and attack it from the inside too.

Now that is funny stuff, I just about spit my coffee all over my computer.
Over the past 30 years vehicles have become more reliable and last longer but they have numerous computers all over the vehicle and they seem to have a sensor on just about everything. It is slowly evolving that one day the owner won't be allowed to open the hood.
That's the good thing about these trucks, tough and pretty easy to work on.
