I almost did that earlier. I guess I'll have to wait on the replacement bulb as I don't care to do that twice. Thanks for the input.

Well it appears I'm an idiot. I finally tried every way to get that retaining ring on and the last one worked. You have to pull off the ring that comes on the light, put on the retaining ring, then put the one that came with the light back on. Then it will fit in properly and the retaining ring will tighten down. The light now fits tightly with no bouncing. However, the bead on the light seems to be all that holds it in. With the retaining ring on tight, you can still pull the light right out and then pop it back in. Not sure if that's right, so opinions welcome. As an added bonus, the bright that wasn't working, now is. Not sure what's up with that.

The 9007 is a low and high beam like my H13 and it has to go in the housing exactly correct to place the low and high beam in the correct place. You will see three little tabs on the cylinder of the bulb housing, they have to be oriented exactly correctly so the bulb twists in and locks in the correct position. Play with your old bulb to see this. I had to use my reading glasses. On the H13, there is one thick tab on the cylinder of the bulb, and two smaller ones, set apart evenly at about 120 degrees from each other. The 9007 will have a different but unique configuration on these tabs. When you get it right, you will see what I mean, my one bulb took me 20 minutes all in to take all apart and get the new bulb in correctly. Reward with appropriate beverages of your choice.
Ok, just got done talking with the LED folks. Mine are now installed correctly. That little click bead is all that holds them in but (they say) they won't fall out. Mine are very bright but really don't light the road up much. I think they're aimed way too high. I'll address that next.

I didn't need to re-aim. The other cars that have much more light in the foreground are running fog lights. I'm not sure if cars now have those come on automatically or if they turn them on like we do, but they all seem to run them. I've ordered a set of the fogs as well now. I think that will fill the gap that I thought I was seeing. When no other cars are around, I can see that my lights are well aimed.
