Last time I asked I kinda got mixed results when I tossed in the idea of Xenon bulbs. What does everyone think of changing to projector headlights like those here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...4121&rd=1&rd=1
I like the lights. I bought these about 6-months ago. I didn't buy mine from this Co, but the same design. Mine cost me about $225. I was alittle concerned about the quality. So once I received the Headlight I made a thorough inspection of the light and was surprised by how good the quality was, and how heavy it was also. I bought both headlight and corner/signals. I haven't installed them yet though.Just one other thing I need to get to. Take Care Now.Country

I had the same exact ones that Country is talking about. They were good, but they are a 9005/9006 design.
Do yourself a favor- If you are going to spend the money, do it on the 05-07 headlights. Even though projectors look cool (see my gallery) they will never compare to the output of the OEMs w/ 9008 silverstar bulbs!
Wow... It's weird how these subjects come up in multiple threads at the same time... I just ordered the HIDs from HERE. I got the 8000Ks. The other thread that started this is HERE.
I too liked the lights you chose, but the only thing I did not like were the LEDs or 194 bulbs down the side... I opted for a set of 2005 headlights and have been really happy with them.... And you know they wont go yellow like the cheap lights do....
Good luck with the choices. I put a HID kit from a Jag in mine too... REALLY bright!!!!
Bob, are the bulbs in your '05 lenses the same as the 2002s? I've been thinking about upgraded lenses as well, and now that I have the HIDs on the way, I may have to indulge myself. D@mn -- PMS SUCKS!!!!
i spent ~$350 doing mine. you will need to cut the header panel to get them to fit or just buy the newer panel. You will need to get the wire harness to convert to 9008 bulbs. Its a pretty easy job though.
Here's the problem I have with the after market lights.
1.) They are direct bolt-ins to the ford POS mount style in our trucks. 2 adjustment screws and one peg. The lights are always loose. You can go out to your truck right now and wiggle either one of your headlights. They will both have quite a bit of play. Also, the adjustment screws in the aftermarket headlights are not as good of quality as the OEMs and will loose adjustment easier.
2.) it always bothered me that the headlight and signal marker were not flush. I know to some its not a big deal, but it just always bugged me.
when my aftermarkets were in, they were fine and looked great. But i just couldn't resist once the price of the 05-07 headlights came down. They sit solid, are a nice 1-piece design, and are incredibly bright with the silverstars!!!
I would like to put the new 05 lights in mine as well, where is the best place to get them, I have searched ebay a few times and found a right here and a left there but never a matching pair.
I also got mine off of ebay for 240$ shipped. I cut the header panel to make it fit(doesnt take long if you have the cut out sheet lol), and got the 9007-9008 conversion kit from dfuser. Worked out very well.
