Eccoboost temps

Guage is or appears normal, but what actual temperature do most of the Eccoboosts run at during normal driving? I also own a JK wrangler and it run on the hot side most of the time. Just checking what is comfortable for my F150.

If I remember right my '13 would stay around 195 during normal operation. I've had it as high as 243 pulling something heavy up a hill, and the needle was pointing towards the warm side of normal.

Thanks, would have guessed that temp range. Mines a 15. My 14 Wrangler runs ar 212 to 226, I think that is too hot, but dealer doesn’t think so.

Your dealer is probably right. Different engines are designed to run at different temperatures, they're certainly not all the same.

Your Jeep has a 203 degree thermostat, and that's the temperature it begins to open, so your temps make sense. Your F150 has a 190 degree thermostat.

Mine stays around 195-200. Had it as high as 220 in hot summer heat towing a heavy trailer. It is very consistent.
