Heats up quick?
I noticed today on my way to work that my temp needle was climbing fast. It never overheated but its only a 2 mile drive to work. I've never noticed it climb that quick and it was a chilly 24 degrees when I left this morning. On the way home I noticed it took no time to get into the normal range again but never overheated. When I got home I let it run for a few more minutes and popped the hood. The upper rad hose was pressurized and warm but not too hot too touch. Like I said, I usually have to let it run in the morning to get it to warm up so I have heat. Is this maybe a stuck thermostat???
Thx for any advice.
If it is not overheating then I wouldn't sweat (pun intended) it. Sounds like the thermostat is working as designed. Also remember that the factory guages leave a bit to be desired. My tranny temp guage moves to the normal range faster than my engine temp gauge and that's IDLING!! in my driveway!!!!! Crazy, huh?!
