Hi group I'm new to this page an wanted to post some stuff about my companies shop Ford Excursion its a 2000 V10 with currently 202k. I love this truck but honestly I'm on my last leg with it. other then the fact that nothing on the inside works as far as power locks, my open door light is always on an i had to take out all the inside dome lights otherwise they would stay on. I've notice a great lost an overall power with the truck about 40k miles ago. the tranny is starting to slip and a list of other issues. my problem is i love the thing so much i don't want to get rid of it but at this point i don't want to sink any more money into it. if any one in the California area that can recommend a great place to take the truck for all its problems or even if anyone wants to buy it lol I'm willing to let it go. So now as far as the outside goes I've made upgrades to LED tail lights, 07 front headlights/grill its got a 6' pro comp lift and 24x37 rockstar with falcon tires. also its currently wrapped (plasti dip) it gets dipped about once a month just because I get bored with the color lol
other then all the ignition coils, spark plugs, oil changes every 3k an replaced the air filter with a K&N I can't really think of anything else that has been fixed on it other then i replaced the fuel pump 50k miles ago
I would suggest cleaning the MAF with MAF spray, getting a OEM paper filter, PCV and changing the fuel filter. K&N filters are oil based and not good for the MAF sensors. You might run some techron or seafoam in the tank as well. I would also do a transmission flush with MerconV and replace the transmission filter. Stick with Motorcraft or OEM on the parts. Rock-Auto is a good place to order from and use the 5% discount codes.
It does look pretty cool, probably couldn't drive with the brighter colors but I dig the look.

I'd recommend B12 in the fuel tank before I would seafoam. I've found that seafoam doesn't do much on the fuel side of things. If you want to "Christen" your V10 an run it through the intake, it seems to work well there and I haven't had any complaints about vehicle performance after.
Berryman's B12 has helped start the most stubborn of engines that refused to start before. It's also helped start vehicles and equipment that either sat or had a seriously dirty fuel system.
@Toreador_Diesel I have used Seafoam through my V10 tank with results from a misfire/shaking during idle. I will also try the Berryman's B12 as well. Looks like most autoparts stores sell it. I can't directly say Techron works and lasts but mileage on my vehicles seems to pick up for a tank.

It's cleaned up some misfires and other performance issues to the point where people ask me: "what did you do to my car/truck? It's never run this good before"
It's cheap and does great job of making things run right.
