Looking for a set of gauges for my 1999.5 f250 super duty. I was thinking EGT, transmission, fuel pressure and boost gauges. Everything on my truck is stock right now. Does anyone have any suggestions for gauges and range of what those gauges need to be in? I'm planning on doing some upgrades, but staying very close to Stock. Thanks in advance.
I like gauges, but the new thing is to have gauges on your phone or tablet.
I like isspro.
The order that you want is to have the most important gauge the easiest to read. The order I would do is Pyro, Trans, Boost, Fuel psi. Fuel psi is a very important gauge to have but very boring when things are working fine.
Thank you Mr. Scott. I wouldn't mind having the gauges on a tablet, or phone, but do they come in analog form. Call me old school, but I find analog a lot easier to read.
Pyro and Fuel Pressure are not on the OBDII port, so you need to add those. I went dual pyros and fuel pressure.
Once you have the OBDII adapter, you can link to your phone or tablet (Bluetooth or WiFi for Android, WiFi only for Apple). With that, you have all the other goodies - like Transmission Temp, Boost, Engine Oil Temp, Injector Control Pressure, yadda, yadda, yadda....
Thank you Mr. Tugly. A picture is worth a thousand questions. The tablet looks to have both and digital read outs. Going to reasearch OBDII adaptor now.
AJ- I'm going down a similar path. There is a LOT of info on this forum regarding OBDII scanner/adapters and a tablet. Don't just limit your search to 97-03 PSD's though- search the whole fordtrucks.com.
