Power Door Lock Issue....Not Related To Actuator

Hello there fellow Ford Truck enthusiasts. I'm looking for a little guidance to fix a power door lock issue I'm having. I have a '99 Super Duty Club Cab and the driver side door lock switch is not working. Passenger side switch locks and unlocks both doors just fine. Full disclaimer, the driver side actuator is wearing out and doesn't work all the time but I can always hear it engaging when the passenger switch is activated. So I know the driver side actuator is on it's way out and have plans to replace it.

That being said here is what I have done that leads me to believe the driver side lock switch is fine and the problem lies elsewhere....I just don't know where. If I swap the driver and passenger lock switches, the drivers side switch will work when plugged into the passenger side but the passenger switch will no longer work when plugged into the driver side. This tells me the switch is fine and my problem lies somewhere else. Please let me know if I'm way off on my thought process here. Any suggestions as to where I should start to track this problem down?

a broken wire/ bad connector... bad ground on door or actuator.

power to switch? power out of switch? power to actuator?

ground return path.

That's kind of the direction I was leaning Chuck. Anyone by chance have a wiring diagram for the power door locks? Wasn't successful locating one with Google.

I have been looking for a service/repair manual for 2 months.. for my 2012...

Not a single reply , anywhere.

pull the panel.. check for power and ground... and go from there.

this is the biggest issue I have... I replaced my Ram with this Ford..

on the Dodge forum is manuals, How to's .. issues ... year by year problems... troubleshooting help...

all fluid amounts needed and types needed ,year by year... torque spec.... on the forum

Here. ????????? unless I can not see them.

I have been do some resurch because I am adding remote start to my 2006 AND I added remote keyless entry to my 2003. I do not know what all years are coverd, but the system are different. The non RKE system are a reversing polarity AT THE SWITCH. With RKE it will just be a negitive(?) signal to the controller. Not 100% on wetter it's a negative or post signal. When I get home I will see if I can find more info for you.

Electronic copies of manuals seem to be more than available on ebay? I know I bought one for my 2002, It does include wiring diagrams. Cost was all of 15 bucks!
